I have been a loyal user of scrubbing bubbles, 409, soft-scrub, lysol. I have tried several other but they are the only products that truly remove all grease and soap scum and give me a feeling of disinfected and clean. Now, I am starting to be concerned of the effects that these harsh chemicals might have on my kids and family. I have been tempted to buy several of the First Generation brand of cleaners but hate the thought of spending all that money and not being completely satisfied with their cleaning abilities. I know there are also several product lines out there that are sold by independent consultants. Does anyone have first-hand experiences (good or bad) with any natural ingredient cleaners? I really would like to make the switch but need an "excellent de-grimer/de-greaser" guarantee.
I am curious if anyone has used a Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner, and if it really works or is it a waste of money?
Help! I have tried my hardest to keep my tile shower clean, and it is a mess. I had the daily scrubbing bubbles automatic cleaner, and on top of that, scrubbed it once weekly, and the grout is still black in the corners. I tried bleach, baking soda, vinegar, and CLR. I am at a loss, and it seems like I will NEVER get this black mold to go away. Does anyone have any advice short of re-grouting the whole shower? Thanks in advance..
**Update**
I went and bought the Tilex Mold and Mildew, and I sprayed the shower down, and ran.. I am 9 mos prego so didn't want to be around the fumes, and I came back 1/2 hr later, and it was 80% better! I couldn't believe my eyes.. and the Tilex is only $4! Thanks Mom's! I really was trying to go the "natural" route with vinegar and baking soda, but I think with my shower, Tilex will have a permanent place! I cannot thank you enough.. you have made my year!
Hey guys,
FIRST QUESTION: My twins are 4.5 now, so we can probably start using toilet cleaners, the drop in kind I mean. So, 1. is it ok to go back to them, and 2. do you know of good ones? I'm tired of scrubbing the toilets every week, and would love to find a way to eliminate this job.
SECOND QUESTION: I'm using the scrubbing bubbles cleaner that hooks to the shower head/rod. BUT, my wife wants her container back, that holds all of the shampoo, etc. that USED to hang there. Are there other hanging options for the shower, ie., suction cupped containers, that work?
Thanks
I have tried everything I could think of to clean this ring in the bathtub...Comet, baking soda and vinegar, magic eraser, etc..nothing works. It scrapes off with my fingernail but that would take me all day...not to mention ruin my nails. I read on tipking.com to try fume free Easy off oven cleaner, but it's like BELOW FREEZING outside and there's no way I am going to leave a window open this time of year. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks!
Edited 12/8/06: I forgot to mention I have also tried Scrubbing Bubbles and filling the tub with bleach water and letting it sit. I want to thank everyone for the suggestions; I'm going to start with the easiest/cheapest methods mentioned and work my way up..I will post an update when I find something that works!
