I am a Mommy photographer who loves to capture the true spirit of your child. I come to your location (your home, park, etc) for two reasons. So that you can get a photograph that will mean something to you - not some generic backdrop - and because lets face it, no child is going to be comfortable in a studio under hot studio lights. So I take the studio out of the equation entirely as well as take some time to get to know you and your child before the shoot even begins. I try to get those special moments that you'll remember for a lifetime by first semi-posing your family (putting you in good light) and then watching you interact.

I've used Katie twice so far. The first time I worked with Katie, she came to the hospital when my daughter was just one day old. She spent over an hour with us in the hospital room and took fantastic photos of our baby girl by herself, with her big brother, with Mom & Dad individually, and as a family. These are photos that we'll forever treasure. They are absolutely beautiful - Katie really captured the emotions that we were all feeling. We received them within one week of her birth, so we were able to use the prints for her birth announcement.
We also used Katie for our daughter's baptism, when we had our family in town. Once again, she took amazing pictures - this time, at our home. She took pictures all over the house using natural lighting, and they came out beautifully. She really put the family at ease, and she was very sensitive to the changing moods of our children!
We will be using Katie again for our daughter's first birthday party, and I know she'll do a wonderful job.
We've used other photographers - both chain-store photographers and individual professional photographers - and nobody compares to Katie. You'll get incredible quality and attention to detail, for a fraction of what other photographers charge. You can definitely use her with confidence!
